Lake Powell

Lake Powell is a man-made reservoir located on the Colorado River in northern Arizona and southern Utah. It was created in 1963 by the construction of the Glen Canyon Dam and is now one of the largest reservoirs in the United States. Lake Powell has a surface area of 162,700 acres and more than 1,960 miles of shoreline. It is a popular destination for boating, fishing, water sports, camping, and hiking. The area surrounding the lake is also home to many attractions, including the Antelope Canyon, the Horseshoe Bend, and the Rainbow Bridge National Monument.
